Fishing in Ontario is especially popular on the expansive Lake of the Woods. There is an abundance in the number and trophy sizes species of freshwater fish found here.
Fish for Walleye (Pickeral), Sauger, Smallmouth Bass, Crappie (Panfish), Northern Pike (Jackfish), Musky (Muskie, Muskelunge), or Perch. We can show you the "hot spots" on a map we provide for you, or you can hire a guide for your Fishing Vacation.
Lake of the Woods Fishing Trips are excellent year round. Winter ice fishing is great and easily accessible from our resort.

We are positioned where Lake of the Woods turns from bigger waters much like fishing the USA side of Lake of the Woods, into a sheltered area that exhibits a more dynamic structure, which is typical of smaller inland Canadian Shield Lakes. This unique area presents incredible opportunities for Year Round Fishing. The presence of islands, shoals, weedy flats and other structure found here on Lake of the Woods results in the best trophy fishing that Ontario has to offer.
Ontario Angler Awards have been added in Ontario as another interesting aspect to fishing. These awards recognize the superior skill level, or sometimes "luck level" of an angler. This also enhances our sportsmanship and sometimes competitive nature when it comes to fishing.

Experienced Fishing Guide Service and shore lunches are available on a request basis at prevailing prices. This can be part of a week long guided fishing vacation, or requested for the first day or two until you get to know the lake a bit better.

ONTARIO FISHING VACATIONS on LAKE OF THE WOODS
Your arrival time for your cabin is 2 PM on the first day, and departure is 9 AM on your last day.
This includes your fully equipped Lakeview Cabin, completely housekeeping capable, with Satellite TV, Air Conditioning, fire pits, BBQ's, Coffee Maker, Microwave, Toaster, Bedding, Towels etc.

You will have a Deluxe 18' Boat with a 50 hp 4-stroke motor, with depth finder/ fish locator, padded swivel seats, live wells, casting decks, life jackets/PDF's, safety equipment, landing net, docking etc.
You will have a tour of the property, and also a tour of Lake of the Woods up to Snake Island
You will be provided with a map of the area marked with “Fishing Hot Spots”
You may bring your GPS.
You may arrange to have an experienced Fishing Guide and/or a Shore Lunch also.
A picture may be taken for you that you can take back with you, or a picture mailed to you after professional developing.
These pictures may later be seen on our web-site and in our photo albums or advertising
